Wiggle - Day 3,030

We're home again after our weekend in London for the LRSE&C Dogs Party.

On Saturday, Wiggle stayed at the house while Sofy, Haggis and Cato met up with Dougal and Oban for a walk in Wimbledon.

On Sunday it was Wiggle's big day out which he thoroughly enjoyed.  He got himself comfy and watched everything going on:

Highlight of the day was when Wiggle won Golden Oldie:

Wiggle was tired after his long day but thoroughly enjoyed seeing lots of friends and raising money for the charity.

Wiggle enjoyed our few days away last week and managed a few short walks but was happy to relax at the cottage:

Since being home again, Wiggle continues to plod along at his own pace:

He still has enough energy to come out with Sofy most days, just to the green at the end of our street:

Wiggle - Day 3,001

It's 4 weeks today until the fabbie Labrador Rescue Dogs Party!

This year is the 20th anniversary of the charity so we hope it's another successful fundraising day as it has been in previous years.

I didn't think Wiggle would make it to this years party but he is still plodding on and is looking forward to catching up with friends old and new.

The Dogs Party is held at the Dogs Trust in Harefield on Sunday 18th September

11am to 4pm

Wiggle - Day 2,994

After a relaxing week for Wiggle, yesterday he enjoyed some pampering with a trip to Lily's Barn Dog Grooming.  Wiggle had a thorough shampoo followed by a blow dry and had a happy, contented look on his face the whole time.  

In the evening, Wiggle was still feeling good and came out for a little walk:

Sofy didn't miss out and today had a bath which meant once finished, she had to go outside and throw herself on the grass and woogle at high speed:

Wiggle - Day 2,987

After a lovely couple of weeks, its all back to normal for us now.  LucytheLab's mum Jana went home to Seattle yesterday and I am so glad she got to meet Wiggle as when she booked her flight, I honestly didn't think he would still be with me.

Before we left London earlier this week, Wiggle had some one to one time with me when we drove to Wandsworth Common for a little walk.  He enjoyed being out and about:

Last weekend we met up with some of our lovely Twitter friends at Richmond Park - Left to right Cato, Haggis, Wiggle, Star, Olive, Chico, Oban and Dougal:

Wiggle did give me a scare when he fell down and couldn't get back up but after sitting with him for a while, he was then able to walk over to the brook and watch the others playing:

Back at the house, Wiggle was worn out but happy to have seen his friends:

Since we got back, Wiggle has been taking things easy and this morning stayed home while Sofy and I went up to the Downs.  She still needs to run around so was happy to be out in the sunshine:

Next weekend Wiggle has an appointment with a groomer for a bath as despite being old and wobbly, he does like to take care of his personal hygiene! 

Wiggle - Day 2,973

We're in London at the moment, house sitting, but Wiggle is not liking the warm weather so I'm doing my best to keep him cool.  

Wiggle doesn't go upstairs any more so has left Neighbourhood Watch on the balcony to Haggis, Cato and Sofy:

To try and keep them from getting too hot, I've been taking the 3 of them to Richmond so they can splash around in the brook:

In other, very exciting news, we have a special visitor this week - LucytheLab's mom Jana is coming to stay with us from Seattle!  I'm very happy that Jana will get to meet Wiggle as it was through his friendship with Lucy on Twitter that Jana and I became such good friends.
