Wiggle - Day 591

This morning I needed to go and get dog food so took Wiggle and Sofy along for the ride. I decided against taking them in the shop as the two of them would no doubt have gone mad at the Bonio Buffet and tried to eat their own body weight's in biscuits!

On the way back we stopped at Maude Heath, walking across the fields on the other side from the monument.

As soon as we were in the field, Wiggle and Sofy were ready for me to throw the ball:

And fetch!!

Waiting for the next throw:

Having fun with the ball:

Sofy tries to perfect her "throw the ball" stare:

And comes back with the ball, boinging and running!

"Do I look silly?"

Not put off by grass hanging out of her mouth, Sofy was back to running around with Wiggle:

Wiggle is in hot pursuit of Sofy and the ball:

Checking out interesting smells in the straw:

More running:

Sofy attempts to grab the ball:

Wiggle misses the ball. Ooops!

And again! And kicking up mud in the process...

More chasing:

Wiggle and his mud splattered face:

Sofy wasn't quite so mucky:

Quick rest:

Sofy, for some reason decided to stand nicely!

But then went back to looking silly - with a large mouthful of grass!

Starting to slow down, Sofy follows Wiggle:

Today marks two weeks since Sofy arrived. To celebrate, she and Wiggle had a stuffed bone from the pet shop! Still offically on foster, Sofy is doing well but still has her moments when we're out....

Wiggle - Day 590

We've had another beautiful sunny Saturday here in Wiltshire. This afternoon we all went up to the Downs to make the most of such a lovely day.

Sofy was running around:

Wrapped up in his fleece, Sir H didn't feel inclined to take a group photo seriously...

Despite the sunshine, it was still bitterly cold and we'd had a dusting of snow overnight. That didn't stop Wiggle and Sofy having a good run:

Sir H preferred to sniff the cold, fresh air:

Wiggle and Sofy kept warm by playing:

Sir H kept warm by rolling!

Sofy's all skippy to have the ball:

But when Wiggle gets the ball, Sofy tries every trick she knows to get it from him!

Tugging is a good option:

And pays off! Ever the gentleman, Wiggle lets Sofy have a turn:

Waiting for the next throw of the ball:

Wiggle tries to get a head start on the ball by running ahead:

Whic paid off!

And again!

Here they come!

Sir H was not running or moving around much at all....

Sofy celebrates getting ball by boinging around

Swingy ball:

Wiggle is in front as Sofy starts to get tired:

Long distance sitting for the ball:

And its Sofy with the ball!

Last run around before heading back to the car....

Wiggle - Day 588

Wiggle has not been shredding toys this evening. Probably because he is fast running out of shreddable toys! After he saw the remains of green elephant once I'd picked up all the bits, it's possible he was regretting his actions:

After tiring themselves out with thier playing, Wiggle and Sofy squished up on the on the sofa for a rest:

Sir H was also feeling rather sleepy:

Seeing Sir H in that photo reminded me of one of my favourite pictures of my dear, departed Guinness, aka Gdog:

With the likeness between the two, its no wonder I was smitten when I first saw Sir H!

Talking of Sir H, I realised that he'd not featured much in Wiggle's blog recently. He's been doing ok, still not really wanting to walk too far. Of course the snow made Sir H very happy but since we've not had much of the white stuff recently, he's had to make do with rolling around in ordinary grass. Some days Sir H only wants to go out in the back garden, but he's getting old, so its to be expected.

When I adopted Sir H nearly 2 years ago, we thought he was 10 or 11, so he could be around 13 now, although I never knew his date of birth. We just take each day as it comes....

Wiggle - Day 587

This evening has not been a good one for the Green Elephant. Clearly green elephant had been VERY bad and needed to be shredded.

Straight after his dinner, Wiggle set to work, ripping apart what was left of the green elephant:

Wiggle tugged and chewed and ripped green elephant into lots of small pieces!

Sofy watched, not taking part in this act of destruction:

A little dark, but here's Wiggle in action:

Sofy and Wiggle looked at the 'death' scene:

Sofy looked innocent, having had no part in this evening's shredding:

While Sir H was on the sofa, having nothing to do with such activities!
