Wiggle - Day 1,788

When we were at Caen Hill Locks at the weekend we saw a cute little swan family:

But while we were watching them, we saw one little cygnet fall down the slope and into the canal!  The baby swan swam around, away from its family:

Realising one baby was missing, one parent went back down the slope:

Parent and baby:

Leading the way:

One giant leap!

That's probably a really, really big slope when you're a little cygnet:

Nearly there....

Reunited, all back together again.

We do like a happy ending!

Wiggle - Day 1,786

Tweet-Up with Lucyyellowlab, part 2

After our walk at Caen Hill Locks, we went over to show Lucy and her humans Black Dog Halt and Wiggle very kindly shared 'his' halt for a group photo with Stuart:

Lucy and Val:

Wiggle lead the way as we walked along in the rain:

After a week of on-lead walks, Wiggle was very pleased to be offlead for a little while:

Sofy jumped up at the bridge to get a better look at the sheeps in the field:

One of the little lambies, looking much more grown up since we last saw them:

Lucy managed to get mucky (the sign of a good walk, apparently!):

Sofy was busy watching the sheeps:

Soggy Wiggle:

Cute little sheepy family:

For the first time, Wiggle had decided to wander into the muddy bog along the track and got himself mucky but we took a detour across the field and found the river:

Sofy enjoyed splashing around:

Wiggle was getting cleaner:

Fun in the water:

Watching Wiggle and Sofy enjoy the river, now that we know how to get to it, we'll definitely be taking that detour across the field again:

Wet, but a whole lot cleaner!

Wiggle - Day 1,785

Tweet-Up with Lucyyellowlab, part 1

Today we met up with Lucy the Yellow Lab and her humans. We met at Caen Hill Locks in Devizes and started out with coffee and snacks.  Sofy was interested in the food on the table:

Wiggle was also keen to see if any food was coming his way:

While Lucy was sitting between her humans:

We saw a family of swans (and there's a story there, but thats for another day!):

Wiggle and Sofy on the towpath:

Lovely Lucy:

Taking time out for a rest:

Lucy and Wiggle (Sofy was too busy barking to be in the photo):

Wiggle was happy to walk with Stuart, back up to the top:

Lots more photo's from part 2 of our walk, so check back tomorrow!

Wiggle - 1,784

Wiggle and Sofy are mostly relaxing, enjoying some sunshine between the showers.

Tomorrow we're meeting up with friends who are visiting the area for a walk so Wiggle and Sofy are making sure they are rested...

Wiggle - Day 1,781

Yesterday afternoon Wiggle had another session with the physio and while to keep Sofy busy, she had toys to play with.  As you can see from the stuffing, poor Armadillo came off worst:

Sofy: "He was a very BAD Armadillo, so I shredded him & made him bleed stuffing!":

Wiggle was very good and seemed to enjoy is session, with electrotherapy as well as massage.  Amy, the physiotherapist, said that Wiggle's lameness is less pronounced and that I can carry on with his massage and we'll see her again soon.

Wiggle was very keen to do some shredding of his own and took a toy outside:

Another bad toy bleeds its stuffing....

Wiggle - Day 1,779

Today we've had beautiful weather (unusual for an English Bank Holiday!) and this morning we all went over to Richmond Park for our walk.

All four dogs wasted no time in getting in the water:

Toby was very happy to find a big stick:

Wiggle still isn't allowed lots of running, so he spent a lot of the walk on-lead:

Beenz pootled along, having got nice and muddy:

Toby found another big stick:

Wiggle was having fun in the river:

The river was the popular place to be!

Once we walked, we headed to the café for brunch.  Wiggle and Sofy were happy to wait patiently until it was their share:

Back at the house this afternoon, Wiggle and Sofy were out on the balcony:

Wiggle got bored but Sofy was enjoying the evening sun:
