Wiggle - Day 1,277

This morning started off with a walk and play in the field and then Wiggle lounging around while I typed his correspondence for him:
This afternoon, I went to a Christmas reception at work and brought home some party snacks for Wiggle and Sofy:

Waiting patiently for their snacks:

Sofy was quickest - one moment snacks; the next moment, gone!

Wiggle took a little time to enjoy his snacks:

Wiggle - Day 1,276

We all had a nice long lie-in this morning, after Wiggle and Sofy had their breakfast early and we all went back to bed! By the time we got up, it was light and the ice on the roads had melted, so we went to the field where Wiggle was very happy to be running around:

Sofy got the whiff of an interesting smell and was running one way:

And back the other way!

Sniffing done, it was time to chase the ball, so Wiggle and Sofy sat patiently, waiting for me to throw the ball:

Sofy running past me:

Wiggle and the ball:

Boingy, happy Labs, playing in the sunshine!

Wiggle - Day 1,274

Once I'm home and Wiggle and Sofy have had their dinner, I like to sit down for 10 minutes with a cup of coffee. Sofy also likes coffee and watches me until I'm nearly finished, edging closer in the hope that she might get a little. Tonight she did!

Wiggle didn't want to be left out, so he tried to stick his tongue in the mug too!

Wiggle - Day 1,273

Our day started off quite normally, then while I was at work, we had a heavy snow storm, followed by rain. Wiggle and Sofy were fast asleep this afternoon when I surprised them by coming home early as I had an engineer here to service the boiler. Wiggle was quite embarassed that I had caught him off guard!

Wiggle and Sofy both went upstairs to see the engineer while he was working on the boiler, but then decided it was all quite boring so came back down to where I was waiting. As they have dinner when I come home, they were initially thinking they were having an early feed but had to make do with chewy sticks.

This evening, after their walk, Wiggle didn't need to worry about being on guard and was relaxing in his bed:

After I'd pointed the camera at Wiggle, Sofy decided that she wanted to be in front of the lens!

Wiggle - Day 1,272

We were surprised to have a knock at the door at 8am this morning and even more surprised to find that the postman had not one, but two parcels for us! Of course Wiggle and Sofy were especially excited as the parcel's were addressed to them!

They had to wait until this evening to open their mail and Sofy got herself a ringside seat:

The first parcel they opened was from Sue and her family, so Wiggle and Sofy would both like to say Thank You! It really is very kind of you to send Christmas gifts to Wiggle and Sofy. They are going to save their presents to open on Christmas day:

The card from Sue is really lovely and has a photo of Sue's dog Jack, who was very handsome indeed:

Next up was the big, heavy parcel all the way from Seattle, America - from Wiggle's girlfriend, LucytheLab! As soon as I'd pulled the tab to open the package, Wiggle was trying to get his nose in and was sniffing:

Sofy tried to open one of the gifts, so that had to be removed quickly!
Lucy's mum had very kindly sent gifts for me too! As I love my coffee, there was some of the special Starbucks Pike Place roast, which is from where Starbucks started and as I do like to bake, some measuring cups! Now I'll be able to tackle American recipe's and not worry about converting the measurements:

Wiggle and Sofy wanted to open their gifts but I told them that they must save them for Christmas day. I am taking no notice of their pleading stares.....

Wiggle - Day 1,271

Our day started cold and frosty with an early walk before work. Tonight though, the cold and dry weather had been replaced with strong winds and heavy rain!

It's the sort of rain that is set in for the night, so much to their horror, Wiggle and Sofy had to wear the Horrid Raincoats:

Despite Wiggle thinking his raincoat is horrid, he was wagging and looking cute, so perhaps he doesn't mind it when its raining so heavy?

Wiggle - Day 1,270

As its only two weeks until Christmas now, I thought it was time to put some decorations up! We are going to be away for New Year, so as I won't be here to take a tree down, I didn't get a Christmas tree this year.

Even without the tree, I had some furry helpers to assist me:

Sofy took her stocking to bed:

Then Wiggle had a rummage around and found a squidgy little decoration, which he took to the bed too!

Once I'd extracted the decoration from Wiggle's mouth, I told him he could wear his antlers while he was helping:
Sofy, noticing the offending item, decided to try and chew the furry ear!

Watching Wiggle take the decoration to his bed, reminded me of 2 years ago when we'd had a real tree. There was one particular decoration that fascinated Wiggle:

And for anyone who was reading this blog back in 2009 might remember, Wiggle waited until I was out of the room and helped himself to the Little Woolly Man!

This year, Little Woolly Man is safely out of Wiggle's reach...

Our decorations - no tree, but I like them and Wiggle and Sofy's stockings are hanging, ready for their gifts...
