Wiggle - Day 849

Wiggle has been getting messy today. It started with breakfast and cream cheese! Wiggle's Atopica capsules are quite big so I hide them inside cream cheese on a dog biscuit. Except this morning Wiggle managed to get cream cheese around his breakfast bowl and on his neck and ear!

Allan came over this morning so Wiggle got all cuddly:

Happy, cuddly face:

After our lunch, Wiggle was given the salad pot to lick clean and got prawn dressing on his nose but Sofy cleaned that off for him. Which was nice of her.

Sofy, meanwhile, was mostly just looking slightly vacant:

Wiggle - Day 848

This evening Wiggle and Sofy were playing with toys in the garden, making the most of the last bit of light:

Even though it wasn't dark, the camera flash came on! It didn't stop Sofy stealing the toy from Wiggle and settling down for a chew:

So Wiggle found a twig to chew on.......

Wiggle - Day 845

Last night I was thinking how lucky we were to have watched the owl while we were in the field, so I Googled to see if I could find out what kind of owl it was. My guess is that it was a Barn Owl:

Obviously there's no way I could take such a fantastic photo so I stole someone else's! They really are beautiful birds to watch and its not the first time I've seen an owl in the area. Last time though I was in the car so it was even better to be able to stand in the field as the light was fading and watch the owl swoop and circle as it hunted.

This evening we walked over to the fields in the hope that we might see the owl again but we didn't see it. We walked a different way but maybe the owl found another area for hunting. Wiggle and Sofy enjoyed themselves though, sniffing around in the field as it got dark!

Wiggle - Day 844

This evening we walked just before it got dark and went across to the field. Wiggle and Sofy demonstrate the duskness:

There was only us in the field and walking along, I heard a whooshing noise and suddenly saw an owl flying over! I only had my Blackberry on me so no decent camera but we watched the owl flying low, hunting as the light faded.

Wiggle took no notice and carried on running around while Sofy took far more interest and wanted to chase, so she went back on lead.

Tomorrow we're going to take the camera and see if we can see the owl again.....

Wiggle - Day 843

We had a really lovely walk on the Downs earlier today. It's been a lovely autumn day here, nice and mild and the sun eventually putting in an appearance. And being such a lovely day, I took lots of photo's!

As soon as he was out of the car, Wiggle was running around with his tennis ball. Here he comes:

And there he goes!

Sofy had started off close to my side - and the pocket with the treats, but soon enough she wanted to run after the ball too:

Wiggle was all skippy in the leaves:

Waiting to run & chase:

Wiggle is in the lead!

And out of the tree's, up on the ridge, Sofy is still following:

Patience paid off, and with a mouthful of grass, Sofy gets her turn with the ball:

Pretty girl:

Handsome boy:

Happy!

Once he had the ball, Wiggle wanted to run ahead:

Waiting:

Following the track, back down the hill towards the gallops:

"Please just throw the ball!"

"Feed me!"

Bye bye, Wiggle.......

Wiggle - Day 842

Earlier today we went on a long, up the hill walk, to go and get my car! I'd been to a work thing at the pub last night and decided to have a glass of wine and leave the car.

Once we were off the main road, we took a detour, along the footpath which runs alongside the golf club. Poor Wiggle and Sofy could only look longingly atthe fairways and dream of running free....

Once we were at the pub, I got a Latte for me and a bag of cheesey snacks for Wiggle and Sofy
