Wiggle - Day 115

All quiet here as I've been at work, however Wiggle would like to send his good thoughts to his friend, Beenzie, who's mum is Mindy, the area co-ordinator Wiggle first met.

Beenzie has a lump which the vet wants to remove so Wiggle will be sending his best wishes to his yellow furry friend and hoping the vets are gentle with him and the biopsy brings good news.

Wiggle - Day 114

I remember when I first met Wiggle, the day I collected him from his previous home. I was told that he didn't play with toys. An excuse perhaps as to why he didn't have any toys. But the Wiggle who lives here very definitely plays with toys!




Despite his rather enthusiastic flinging of the bear, I can confirm that neither Wiggle nor the bear sustained any injuries during play.

Wiggle has worn himself out now after all that flinging about and bouncing and has taken himself off to bed....

Wiggle - Day 112

Wiggle is back online!! Thank you Bran for updating while we were suffering our technical problems.

All's fine in the House of Wiggle. We've been away for the weekend so Wiggle and Sir H have had lots of lovely walks and Wiggle went jogging yesterday.

While sorting some things out after getting home, Wiggle found that I have a rather large stash of tennis balls. He seemed to think he could have all of them to play with, but the way he shreds balls, he'd have none left if I let him have the whole bag full. I did let him choose a couple of new ones though, to replace the very tatty ones he had.

Part of the reason for sorting things out is that our good friends Sam and Mark who run the Dogstar Foundation:

The Foundation helps the Temple dogs in Sri Lanka and Sam & Mark are going over there in a couple of weeks. Used items such as collars etc are always useful so I had a sort out to see what I could send to them. This is Bran - Wiggle's little chocolate buddy.

Wiggle's lappytop thing is broked at the moment but he is going to make his mummy get it fixed very soon and they should be back here after the weekend x

Wiggle - Day 107

As Wiggle has celebrated his birthday and his first 100 days of his new life, I thought it was time to change his profile photo. Gone is the sad, grey, baldy dog and now he can be seen looking his handsome, hairy self.

This week I'm working nights but Wiggle has been good and sleeping during the day while I've been asleep. We've managed to avoid the showers and get out with Sir H for some walking and ball fetching.

Wiggle will no doubt be glad when the weekend comes as we're away so he'll get some longer and more interesting walks!

Wiggle - Day 105

After all his activities at the weekend, Wiggle has been taking things easy this morning. After a lie in and then breakfast, he's been laying in the sunny spot....












We've been over to the vets in Melksham to get some more of his Atopica and while I was there, I popped Wiggle onto the scales. He's weighed in at 32.4kgs today, which is great news and just about right for his build. I knew he had filled out some more but after being so skinny when he arrived, its good that he's now reached a healthy weight. Wiggle eats well still but gets plenty of exercise too, so all being well he can now maintain that weight.

Wiggle - Day 104 - Birthday Weekend

As I posted earlier, today is Wiggle's birthday. He's had a very busy weekend of walking and swimming and munching on birthday pigs ears and playing with his new toy, a squeaky bear.

We went to the Neigh Bridge lake at the Cotswold Water Park which is smaller than the Keynes Park lake and had many more fishermen!! Wiggle thought there might be some picnic baskets to share but thankfully he was distracted by his tennis ball.

Sir H had a bit of a shock when he got in the lake and promptly sank head first. He surfaced quickly though and with help, was back on dry land. After that he was unsure of going in the water but eventually got the courage to go back in.

Wiggle spent ages and ages chasing after his ball, in and out of the water and then he and Sir H did a spot of synchronised swimming!

After lunch at the pub (for humans, not hounds) we stopped at Maude Heath for more running and in Sir H's case, a lie down.

Today the boys have had another lovely walk, this time on the Marlborough Downs. No water this time but plenty of ball fetching for Wiggle and interesting smells for Sir H to sniff.

All the excitement has worn both boys out - Wiggle is alseep on his bed with his new bear and Sir H is crashed out on the sofa....
