Wiggle - Day 2,155

Yesterday morning Wiggle and I did another Pets as Therapy visit and everyone was pleased to see us.  Probably more pleased to see Wiggle!  After we'd visited both lounges and some residents in their rooms, we sat outside for a while with a group of ladies who were enjoying the sunshine.  We were having such a good time and Wiggle getting so much fuss that we stayed half an hour longer than usual!

In the afternoon, we decided the best way to cool down on a warm day was a walk in the shade:

Wiggle waited by the gate:

Sofy didn't wait!

Once in the field, Sofy was running in the sun:

While Wiggle was headed for the river:

Sofy prefers speed to style and made a big splash:

Wiggle was taking things slower, paddling in the cool water:

Sofy was confused - the tennis ball that she missed floated off down river.  Silly Sofy!

Back in the buttercups:

Sofy caught the ball and managed not to lose it:

Back in the water to cool down, Wiggle kept a firm hold on the ball:

Sofy was just splashing and dunking her head under water:

Enough of paddling, Wiggle was drying off while running:

Sofy was still soggy:

Just being handsome:

And handsome while standing:

Sofy, looking at the sky:

And the end of our walk:

Wiggle - Day 2,153

We've been enjoying a lovely, sunny day here so after a walk in the fields, we got on with some work in the garden:

Wiggle thought he would 'help' by tidying an empty flowerpot:

Despite having plenty of toys to choose from, Wiggle decided the chew the flowerpot:

Sofy was being a Good Girl and just sitting:

Work finished, time to enjoy the nice weather:

And enjoy some woogling in the sun:

Wiggle - Day 2,146

This weekend we are in London, house-sitting while Mindy and Paul are away at a family party.  We arrived yesterday evening and straight away met young Haggis:

Sofy tried out his bed (even though it was a bit small for her):

After lots of playing and tail chasing, Haggis was worn out:

Cato was so tired after being reunited with her best friend Sofy that she fell asleep with the toy in her mouth:

Wiggle sought refuge and cuddles on the sofa:

This morning Haggis went to work with Paul and Mindy while Cato came out with Wiggle, Sofy and me:

Cato was too busy to sit for a group photo:

Ball games:

Back at the house, sitting nicely:

Uncle Wiggle and little Haggis:

Cato and Haggis:

This afternoon Wiggle and me took Haggis out for a latte.  Haggis found it very tiring being admired and soon fell asleep in my arms:

Wiggle enjoyed finishing my caramel latte:

One tired little puppy....

Wiggle - Day 2,140

Wiggle and Sofy are feeling traumatised.  They were minding their own business, enjoying the sunshine:

But then they were called upstairs....

Wiggle was not impressed and Sofy didn't look much happier!

After their torture was over, there was lots of boinging in the garden:

Once they had recovered their composure, they were looking more normal again:

Wiggle - Day 2,139

This morning Wiggle and I were doing one of our Pets As Therapy visits

Wiggle was keen to get in and see everyone:

As always, Wiggle was very good - gentle and attentive to all of the residents and made me very proud.

Wiggle - Day 2,137

Yesterday evening I had been invited to an evening of presentations at the vets talking about causes and treatments of skin allergies in dogs.  On the way, we stopped off at Maud Heath for a run:

Wiggle enjoyed some rain-free exercise:

The grass was long in the field so pretty quickly the ball was lost and a search party required:

Sofy got bored of searching, but Wiggle wouldn't give up:

Still looking:

Found it!

Wiggle: "I found the ball, but now you're going to throw it away again?!"

Our audience:

Unfortunately, just before we left, Wiggle pulled one of his toe nails nearly off but as we were heading to the vets, he was seen straight away.  The nice vet clipped off the remaining nail and put a dressing on his poorly paw (red, of course!).  After we got back home, he somehow lost the dressing but thankfully his paw is ok and the nail will eventually grow back...
