Happy Birthday Lucy !!!

Today is Lucy the Lab's birthday!! Wiggle's very beautiful girlfriend is celebrating her 9th birthday.

Happy Birthday Lucy!! We hope you have a Fabbie Labbie Day and have lots of nommy treats!

Wiggle sent a little parcel to his special girl and has already Tweeted her, after waking me in the middle of the night. Such a shame the two loved-up Labs will never meet, since Lucy lives in Seattle......

In the highly unlikely event that we win the lottery, I have promised Wiggle I will take him to America to see his true love.



We can all dream, can't we?!

Wiggle - Day 839

It's really feeling autumnal here, especially with the mild sunny afternoon and nights getting darker earlier.

By the time Wiggle and Sofy have had their dinner and had a little post-dinner rest, it was dark for our walk so the Puplights came out!











So even though it was dark, we all went to the field for a walk and while Wiggle and Sofy ran around, I could see where they were and see them both when it was time to meet by the gate:

I love Wiggle.

I am so lucky that he shares his life with me and I feel very fortunate that I was asked to foster him when I was. Even now, I can still see so clearly in my mind how Wiggle looked, back in June 2008.



























I am so lucky that Wiggle is such an easy going dog, that he loves everyone he meets and that he has got on so well with all of the dogs that have been with me. It probably sounds stupid, but even now I look at Wiggle and think how truly lucky I am and how utterly special he is - even in the morning, when I have snoozed the alarm but Wiggle shoves his cold wet nose under the covers or when he's having a loud wash!

All the different dogs I have been lucky enough to share my life with have been wonderful, each in their own way. And I know there shouldn't be favourites, but Wiggle really is just that teeny weeny little bit more special......

Wiggle - Day 837

We've had a beautifiul day here in our part of the world, slightly spoilt though by me being at work all day and having to admire the autumn sunshine from my office window! So, this evening, as soon as I was home, we were out in the garden, doing some tidying.

Wiggle wasn't really much help though....










Even less help when he decided to stop and give his bottom a quick clean!










Sofy tried to help, but to be honest, she's not as effective as the mower's grass collecting box:

We managed to get some sunshine today, in between the rain, so we spent some time up on the Downs this afternoon.....

Wiggle - Day 835

We were all happy to see some sunshine today and got out to the field as soon as we got up:










Wiggle was running around with his ball, happy as always!










Then later in the morning, Wiggle and Sofy did lots of shouting when the postman knocked at the door - he had parcels for them!











After each waiting patiently, Sofy was first to open her gift:











Then Wiggle opened his parcel:










And took his new toy straight to bed for some chewing!











Sofy was in more of a flingy kind of mood:











But then settled down to chew her toy:










After chewing, Sofy was happy to just lay with her new toy.....

Wiggle - Day 834

Today we spent all our walk time getting wet. This morning it was heavy rain but at least not so heavy this evening. We didn't see anyone else in the field!

Yesterday at least it dry but a misty start to the day:




















After lots of snuffling in the dewy damp grass, Wiggle ended up with a damp face:










This evening Wiggle and Sofy have been taking it in turns on the sofa. We've had a quieter evening as last night we all ended up wrestling on the living room floor!

It starts off quite calmly with me laying next to Wiggle, making a fuss of him but then he just gets more cuddly than usual, wriggling around and getting into the best position to have his tummy rubbed.

Sofy has a different idea and her approach is more full on! Sofy jumps on me, will stand on me, sit on me, head butt me and try and lick me as much as possible. Wiggle and I try and get away from Sofy's mad antics but she has other idea's - she grabs one of Wiggle's legs!
