Wiggle - Day 234

The snow is still here and I've had to miss the fun and go to work. It didn't stop us going out first thing though for a slippery walk!

As the temperatures dropped overnight it was easier to walk in the snow.

Wiggle, being Wiggle, was happy to play ball in the snow

While Sir H, although not impressed to be out in the cold, enjoyed himself in his own way!

We've been out this evening and it really isn't nice out there. Apart from being freezing cold, the snow which melted in the sun earlier has now turned to ice which made walking rather difficult at time!

I've been playing about with Wiggle's Twitter settings, so in theory, when I update the blog, Twitter should be updated too. That's the idea, whether I've done it right remains to be seen!

Wiggle - Day 233

Wiggle is now on Twitter!

https://twitter.com/WiggleTheDog

I'm not really sure what Twitter is all about but I keep reading/hearing about it, so I've signed him up. He's not got any followers yet and I'm not sure if he will, but it never hurts to spread the Wiggle word!

More snow again today but I've been at work. Sir H wasn't happy going out first thing this morning and to be honest, the way the snow was coming down, I don't blame him. Apparently it's just going to get colder without the snow. Looks like we'll all be wrapping up warm for our walks.

Wiggle - Day 232

After a quiet day yesterday with the snow melting away, this morning we woke up to lots of snow!!

I've been back at work so took the boys out early for their walk. We had a good 4 inches or more of snow and walking was definitely easier than driving!

Here's Wiggle in the snow:

And this photo of Sir H made me giggle - just his eyes showing up in the dark!

I'm sure the boys had more fun today than me - probably playing in the snow with the dogwalker while I was stuck in the office. The forecast is for more snow overnight so we shall have to wait and see what the morning brings....

Wiggle - Day 230

This afternoon we met up for a snowy walk in the woods with Ange and Rob and two of their dogs, Minnie-Moo and Max. Minnie-Moo also has her own blog and is a LRSE&C dog like Wiggle and Sir H. Max is a very handsome 10 year old Lab but he can be a little nervous when he meets new dogs, so we arranged to meet up and see if he would enjoy a walk with Wiggle & Sir H.

Minnie-Moo has met the boys before and was very pleased to see them although Max wasn't quite so confident, but Wiggle and Sir H walked along happily on-lead until we all felt Max was relaxed about having our company. Before long, Max was running around, coming up to my boys, tail wagging.

Knowing that Sir H would do the least, he was offlead first and just pottered around, doing his own thing. A while later, Wiggle was offlead and running around after his ball.

Max and Wiggle got on really well, playing ball together and not a single grumble, despite crashing into each other one time!

Sir H...

We really did have a lovely walk and the dogs all got on really well, which was great to see. Despite Max's initial nervousness when he met my boys, before long he and Wiggle were running around together, enjoying the snow and playing ball. I'm very proud of my boys!

Wiggle - Day 229

We've got snow!!! Lots of lovely, fluffy snow! Ok, so not as much as other parts of the country right now, but it's still falling and settling.

The boys and I went out this morning but I suspect I was more excited about the snow than they were, especially Sir H who looked particularly unimpressed. As its so cold, both boys were wearing their fleece jumpers, but even being wrapped up warm didn't convince Sir H to enjoy himself.

While Sir H is tucked up in bed and showing no signs of moving anywhere, Wiggle and I went back out for a play in the snow.

On the road to the green:

Despite the snow, Wiggle still sat for the ball!

Wiggle's friend Feebee, who belongs to our neighbour and the boys dogwalker had come out to play too:

But typical of Wiggle, he was more interested in playing ball:

I'm hoping for more snow!

Wiggle - Day 228

We have had an absolutely lovely walk at Virginia Water today. We met up with a group of friends from the Refuge forum and despite the freezing cold weather and brief snow shower, really enjoyed ourselves.

After meeting in the carpark, we set off along the side of the lake and all the dogs had a good run around, Wiggle chasing after his tennis ball and Sir H pottering along. When we've been before, we have walked up one way and then turned around and come back the same way, but thanks to Clare, we now know a circular route which took us a couple of hours.

Once we were back to the beginning, us humans stopped for a coffee to warm up before we all made our way home again. Here's some of the photo's from our walk:

Starting off the walk:

Beenz found a big stick which he carried for the rest of the walk!

Nettie was popular, must have been the treats!

Wiggle has a new fleece jumper - thanks to Mindy! She'd got an Equafleece for each of her boys but they didn't fit, so passed them on to me. Sir H has one too, in navy blue, but he was too tired to have his photo taken.

The walk was really good - all the dogs got along well together, chased each other and ran around and had a great time. Both Wiggle & Sir H slept all the way home and have been asleep pretty much ever since!
