Wiggle and I had another sightseeing afternoon today. We woke up to stormy weather with heavy rain and thunder, but we got a walk in this morning on Tooting Bec Common and then at lunchtime, we caught the bus to Sloane Square.
Wiggle likes looking out the window of the bus:
We travelled to Embankment and boarded the Thames Clipper, this time heading east:
The Houses of Parliament and Big Ben:
Wiggle seems to enjoy travelling by boat:
The Oxo Tower on the South Bank:
Our view of the capital:
Shakespeare's Globe, a replica of the original 1599 Globe Theatre:
The Shard, towering behind Pickfords Wharf:
Wiggle was still enjoying the journey, enjoying the breeze from the river and the sunshine:
Tower Bridge:
Butlers Wharf, built in 1873, originally a shipping warehouse for goods unloaded into the Port of London, now luxury apartments:
Tower Bridge, with the BT Tower and the dome of St Paul's in the background:
As we continued along the river, Canary Wharf was coming into view:
Columbia Wharf, built in 1864, now partly apartments and also a Hilton Hotel:
Wiggle decided the best place was in between my feet:
Soon we were nearing our destination as the Cutty Sark came into view:
Greenwich! We'd arrived:
Wiggle at the Old Royal Naval College:
Canary Wharf, as seen from Greenwich:
We wandered around for a while, stopped for coffee (me) and water (Wiggle) then got the Thames Clipper, the Underground and then the bus back home. As always, Wiggle was an absolute star getting lots of fuss and attention. He's sleeping now, worn out after our afternoon of sights and history...

wonderful sightseeing.
this is the most touristic set of pictures I've seen.
Wiggle is such a good partner. He must be happy just getting the cool breeze from the river.
Wiggle you do get out and about. We were up in London yesterday, but Ruby stayed home to snooze as it was so hot. We found Hyde Park-you'd have loved the cool trees.
