Wiggle - Day 1,893

Both our walks today have been around the fields across the road from our house and each time, Sofy had fun jumping up onto the straw bales:

Seeing her on the bale reminded me of when Wiggle jumped on the rolled bale a few years ago:

Four years on, I don't encourage Wiggle to jump up so he was happy to sit at ground level:

Wiggle - Day 1,891

Wiggle and Sofy have spent most of their day napping or laying out in the sunshine while I've been doing some decorating.  They both find decorating very boring and let me get on with the painting so had saved their energy for our walk this evening.

Wiggle was keen to get to the fields so walked ahead as far as his lead would let him:

Into the field:

Once in the field, Wiggle sat waiting for the ball:

Running in the evening sun:

Sofy stopped to sniff but soon caught up:

Into the next field, Wiggle ran on, still carrying his ball:

Down the ditch, into the next field:

Sofy: "Please throw cookie into my mouth!"

After she'd had a cookie, Sofy was so excited to get the ball that she dropped it while she ran to me:

Nearing the end of our walk, sitting in the sunshine:

Today's blog post is in memory of our friend Bear who sadly passed away at the weekend.  Sleep peacefully, Bear.

Wiggle - Day 1,890

Wiggle & Sofy have been having a relaxing Sunday.  Their day has gone like this:

7.30am - wake me, get on the bed with me for cuddles

8.00m - bored of cuddles, want breakfast

8.10 - breakfast eaten, wee's & poo's done, now nap

9.30am - go for walk

10.00am - back from walk, nap

1.00pm - send me to lunch at parents with Tupperware box to bring home leftovers

4.00pm - welcome me home, eat dinner with leftovers mixed into kibble

4.05pm - nap

6.00pm - walk in the field

6.45pm - home again, nap

9.00pm - look half awake, then get ready for more napping....

Wiggle - Day 1,888

This evening we had a fast food supper - cheeseburgers and fries!  We don't often do this but when we do, it's good, in a junk food kind of way and of course Wiggle and Sofy had their own cheeseburger supper too:

They were so excited to eat that they were too quick for me to get a picture! Needless to say, they both enjoyed their supper.

Wiggle - Day 1,886

This morning we were out bright and early while the mist was still lifting from the fields.  Wiggle was running around:

Sofy and Wiggle are 'morning dogs', running through the grass:

Sofy was looking very happy:

Wiggle was looking at me, wanting the ball to be thrown:

Working as a team, Wiggle watches me while Sofy watches the ball:

And after some more fetching games, they were just as happy to come home for their breakfast and a busy day of napping.

Wiggle - Day 1,883

After a rainy day yesterday, today we had sunshine so went up to the Downs for our walk this afternoon.  Wiggle and Sofy went running on up the path:

Wiggle had his ball, ready to play:

Sofy sat on a tree stump while Wiggle ran ahead:

Wiggle, on the horizon:

Up on the ridge, Wiggle wanted his ball to be thrown:

Sofy got the ball, bounding through the grass:

Once Wiggle got the ball again, he was off!

Wiggle thought we were going to take this path...

But we weren't, so he came back:

Sofy was still happily running around:

This time taking the right path, Wiggle headed down the hill:

Wiggle did come back to check on Sofy and me:

But then he was off again:

Soon he was almost out of sight - Where's Wiggle?

Sofy stayed close to me. She knew I had treats in my pocket:

Wiggle decided to join us again, still carrying his ball:

Then he was off again, leading the way back to the car:

Wiggle - Day 1,882

We're counting down the weekends now until the LRSE&C Dogs Party.

We are looking forward to catching up with old friends and meeting new ones.

It's a Fabbie Labbie day out - come long if you can!

Wiggle - Day 1,879

A while ago, I got a bird bath so our visiting feathered friends could freshen up in our garden.

Wiggle and Sofy would have enjoyed watching a little birdy take a bath and waited....

But the birdy wanted some privacy, waiting until Wiggle and Sofy weren't watching!

Wiggle - Day 1,876

This afternoon we had a sunny walk in the field.

Wiggle and Sofy enjoyed sniffing around:

Carrying his tennis ball, Wiggle led the way:

Sofy was boinging around:

"Throw my ball":

Wiggle ran on ahead, but kept coming back to see where we were:

Sofy, having a moment of calm:

Then more boinging:

Quick rest in the shade of the oak tree:
