Ziggy's Bank Holiday Weekend

We've had a lovely long weekend and for Ziggy it got off to a great start when Grandyma arrived and had brought him a fabbie new toy! Mr Snake is his new favourite toy.

On Saturday we all went out for breakfast and some shopping before heading south of the county, down to a little village near Longleat for a late lunch.  The Bath Arms is very dog friendly and in a lovely spot.

When our food arrived, Ziggy wanted a closer look at Grandyma's lunch:

Our destination after lunch was to a National Garden's Scheme open garden near Longleat called Jobs Mill.  NGS Website

It was such a lovely afternoon we spent a while wandering around the garden of this old, interesting house, stopped for coffee and cake and later sat under the shade of a tree up on one of the terraces.

Ziggy enjoyed some woogling:

And looked out over the gardens:

Yesterday Ziggy had a rest day while we went into Bath for a wander around but today he came with us into town for breakfast and then we went over to Caen Hill Locks at Devizes as Grandyma had never been there.

We saw a swan family:

Admired the view down the hill:

And as a bank holiday treat, we all had an ice cream, including Ziggy!

Not So Baldy Dog

All the months of medication and strict bathing routine are paying off as Ziggy has new fur!

He has gone from little tufty bits to actual fur growing although some of his chest hair is white!

One of Ziggy's post-bath photo's this week has been quite a hit online which is lovely as he is such a special boy:

As out dear friend Jana tells us, He'll be furry by Christmas!

Bath Days and Fun Days

Ziggy continues to have his Malaseb baths, 3 times a week and along with the medication, his skin is looking great and not reacting to the allergens that have been such an issue.

And as he has a bath so often, he of course has his own personalised towel:

Ziggy likes to come out with me and especially likes going to the garden centre with his Grandyma as it's very dog friendly and usually means special treats.

Perhaps one of the reasons Ziggy likes it there is that there are comfy sofa's where he can watch people and get extra fuss:

As well as relaxing Ziggy loves running in the fields near where we live:

Last weekend he was a Dog on a Log:

Ziggy has moments of activity, running:

And wallowing.  He hasn't achieved proper swimming yet.

While out in the Cotswolds at the weekend, Ziggy met an interesting character in Moreton in Marsh.  Quite random.

And mostly, Ziggy is a Very Good Boy who is so loved and so happy
