Ziggy's A Very Good Boy

It's only been 6 months since Ziggy arrived but in some ways it seems like much longer.  It might be because in many ways he is so similar to Wiggle in the way he behaves and how he has bonded with me.  Sometimes he will do something and it's just like seeing Wiggle and considering how special he was, I feel very lucky to have had Ziggy come into my life.

And Ziggy seems pretty happy with things too, like coming out to lunch with family yesterday and being a Very Good Boy.  Just like Wiggle, Ziggy is well behaved wherever he goes and he especially enjoyed all the attention he got.

After our food had been eaten and we all sat chatting, Ziggy had a quick nap:

Once we were back at Grandma's house, Ziggy was overjoyed to receive the fabbie Care Bear that Grandma had got for him in the charity shop:

Ziggy slept in this morning after all the excitement of yesterday but by lunchtime he was happy to get wrapped up warm for a walk across the fields:

Despite the sunshine, it was bitterly cold:

While I enjoyed the view, Ziggy enjoyed the smells:

Ziggy and his Piggy

Ziggy loves his toys.  Ziggy loves to shred his toys.  Ziggy's love of shredding toys is getting expensive so my mum, or Grandma as Ziggy prefers, got him a cute little Piggy from the charity shop.

Ziggy loved Piggy from the beginning:

Ziggy was very gentle with Piggy:

Ziggy took Piggy with him to bed:

Ziggy uses Piggy as a pillow to rest his head on:

And when Sofy took Piggy outside and left him there, Ziggy went and rescued him:

To make sure he is safe for chewing, Piggy has undergone minor surgery to remove his eyes and Ziggy has chewed one of his trotters and pulled out some stuffing.  Apparently Piggy was a little chunky.

Ziggy is going to Crufts!

We are very excited that on Gun Dog Day, Sunday 11th March, Ziggy will be following in Wiggle's footsteps and representing LRSE&C at Crufts!

Once again, the Kennel Club Charitable Trust have invited LRSE&C to attend and represent Labrador Rescue at the world famous dog show at the NEC in Birmingham.  It's a great day to be able to promote the rescue and chat to people who may not realise that Britain's favourite breed also needs the support of a rescue.

There will be other LRSE&C Labbies there and it will be a good day for Ziggy to experience something completely different and just like Wiggle, I'm sure he will take it all in his stride!
