Wiggle - Day 2,434

I have no idea why, but for some reason the last few weeks have flown by!  Wiggle is now swimming once a week as he is doing so well.  Sofy comes with us and watches and nearly fell in the pool, because she's daft like that.

We celebrated Shrove Tuesday with pancakes, but with their usual enthusiasm and speed-eating I was too slow in getting photo's of Wiggle and Sofy eating their pancakes.

It's definitely easier to take photo's of them sleeping!

Wiggle - Day 2,420

Yesterday we had some errands to run but stopped off on our way home for a walk up on Maud Heath.  Sofy was smiling:

Stopping to watch the cows.  And probably think about tasty beef steaks!

Today was more about relaxing in sun-puddles:

Wiggle - Day 2,413

A few weeks back Wiggle started going swimming at Glendora Hydrotherapy in the hope that he  would be able to exercise and build up some muscle in his back legs.

I'm very happy to report that not only does Wiggle love his swimming sessions but he's also benefiting from the exercise.

We're going twice a week at the moment and Wiggle has worked up to 20 minutes in the pool where he gets to swim after his tennis ball a few times and then rest before swimming again.  Wiggle is doing so well that he has advanced from wearing the life preserver harness to just an ordinary harness.

Wiggle loves his sessions and is always happy to go into the centre, get his harness on and walk up the ramp to the pool.  He's less happy having to give up the tennis ball but usually will after some persuading.

Before Christmas, I'd noticed how much slower Wiggle had become and unsteady on his back legs but last weekend, Wiggle looked really good as we walked, managing about 45 minutes without any problems.

Apart from the physical benefits, Wiggle seems a lot perkier and happy in himself which makes me so happy to see.  He's not looking so old and weary and it's wonderful to see my special boy enjoying life once more.
