Worried, I checked his legs and feed, but couldn't see or feel anything wrong, so we continued on our walk. He stopped again, refusing to walk straight ahead.
Then I realised what the problem was.....

Catkins!! Lots of little, inoffensive furry catkins that had blown off the tree's and onto the footpath.
Apparently, these a VERY scary and not to be walked on!

Oh Wiggle, you're not silly! I myself refuse to walk on those metal manhole covers on the streets. I will not put one paw on them. (mom loves catkins; though we call them pussywillows here)

such a clever dog. double check his 4 paws in case those things are stinging his paws. Once they brake and a piece is inside his paw, it will go further in the skin. You might need a magnifying glass.
