Back to Black Dog Halt

Today Ziggy and I went for a walk along the old railway track, the starting point of our walk being a place that is very special to me, Black Dog Halt.

As we walked, I realised that I had not taken that route since before Wiggle passed away but it was nice to think of the happy memories.

Ziggy was happy to trot along, taking it all in:

After recent rain, there was plenty of mud for Ziggy to splash in:

Daft, muddy Baldy Dog:

Ziggy ran ahead, just like Wiggle used to, as if he knew where he was:

Through a gateway, we could see a large puddle had formed in the fields which lead to the river:

I've never seen Ziggy run ahead as fast as he did today when he saw the water!

And he was in!

I just loved seeing him so utterly happy, splashing in the water, then running to me before heading back to the water:

And just as I was thinking how perfect it all was, I noticed Ziggy had found his idea of perfection - something nasty and stinky to roll in:

After some more splashing around, we headed back the way we had come:

And Ziggy had a bath as soon as we got home!

Baldy Dog Ziggy's day at Crufts and other things....

We had a fabbie day at Crufts, with Ziggy taking it all in his stride.  He was keen to meet and greet from the moment we arrived:

We met beautiful Tia, a very special LRSE&C girl:

I think Ziggy spent most of his day wagging:

A couple of group shots:

Ziggy did me proud and met lots of lovely people so hopefully will help to raise awareness and funds!

Yesterday we had errands to run with Grandma so Sofy and Ziggy came too and to celebrate the weekend, Ziggy de-stuffed yet another teddy bear.

Today we woke up to snow.  Wrapped up warm in his fleece, Ziggy did lots of boinging in the snow:

Sofy came out to play too but was more interested in any snacks that were available:

Next week Ziggy is off to see the dermatology specialist as we aren't seeing any improvement in his skin or itchyness so we will see what is next for the Baldy One.

Ziggy & Sofy: Snow Dogs

This week we finally had proper snow and it turns out, Ziggy loves the snow!

Sofy was worried that she might look more grey with the snow:

During the evenings, Ziggy kept on wanting to go outside and check the snow:

When the next day brought more snow, Sofy and Ziggy became quite bouncy and played for a while:

The snow has gone now and life is back to normal but it was fun while it lasted!
