Wiggle - Day 740

Wiggle isn't speaking to Sofy.

Yesterday evening, everything was fine when we started out on our walk across the field....

But after that, Sofy had an accident - she wee'd on Wiggle's head! To be fair, she didn't do it on purpose and it was coincidence that he was sniffing an interesting patch of grass just nanoseconds before Sofy went to pee.

Poor Wiggle.....

Wiggle - Day 738

Wiggle and Sofy have now caught up on their sleep after our busy day yesterday at the charity dog show over at Wadswick.

None of us got much sleep the night before, mainly because we ended up with a very warm and muggy night but we were up early on Sunday morning to get over to the show and setup. It was the first time I'd done a show on my mown but it was all nice and easy, getting the gazebo up with a little help from my neighbours - Wiggle's vets!

It actually took less than an hour to get everything set up so we had a time before the public arrived to have a little walk around and see the minature ponies!

Once the show had opened to the public, Sofy and Wiggle took up their positions - on their bed that is in the car, placed in the shade for them:

Sofy decided she would provide some shade for Wiggle......

We had a really good day, raising a nice amount for Labrador Rescue and giving out lots of information about the charity. Wiggle was very good, but that's normal. Sofy did lots of shouting, not at anything in particular, just because she could. Eventually though, she wore herself out.

After a busy day, the show was coming to an end so we got ourselves packed up but before we left, Wiggle and Sofy got to have some Lab-time with their new friends, Labrador representatives from the Guide Dogs for the Blind, Monica and Lily:

Needless to say, after a long and hot day, we all slept well last night! This evening Wiggle was all boingy and daft again, clearly having spent most of his day sleeping.

We actually had a few spots of rain while we were having our walk across the field earlier, but it made a nice change to have a cooler evening, especially for Wiggle and Sofy. Now they've had a good run around, chased the tennis ball, chased each other, lost the ball, found the ball, played with 2 other dogs they met etc, both Wiggle and Sofy are crashed out......

Wiggle - Day 736

Still warm and sunny here so we were out across the field nice and early before it got too hot. Wiggle and Sofy ran around, checking out the smells and chasing their ball.

While I went and did some shopping, the dogs slept but when I got home, there wasn't much more activity!

Wiggle did have a half-hearted chew on his bone, but that didn't last long!

Tomorrow we are going to be doing a charity stall for Labrador Rescue at a dog show just down the road from us, near Corsham.

We've got a nice new folding table, the gazebo is packed in the car ready and as it looks like being another hot day, bottles of water are in the freezer ready to go in the coolbox! The show is being organised by Happy Hounds Pet Carers:

Wiggle - Day 735

The warm weather is still with us so once again, we had a late evening walk.

Wiggle and Sofy have been playing nicely, chasing around after the ball in the long grass

Wiggle - Day 734

This evening Wiggle and Sofy took Albert the Armadillo for a little walk:

Sofy won the game of tuggy and spent some quality time, flinging and whapping poor Albert....

Wiggle was doing his best to look innocent while Sofy chewed and ate one of Albert's feet

Wiggle - Day 733

I've had the day off today but we were still out early this morning to try and get our walk done before it got too warm as we've had another scorching hot day. Well, hot for England!

After I'd been and got some things done, we had a little playtime in the garden. I'd bought a pot of bubble mixture earlier and Sofy was rather bemused by the bubbles:

Wiggle, meanwhile, was rolling around, practising his tennis ball skills, preparing himself should be get the call to be a ball-boy at Wimbledon!

Sofy was still watching bubbles:

Wiggle was more enthusiastic about the bubbles, while Sofy decided to roll around, kicking her legs in the air:

Back to playing:

It's still very warm here so although Wiggle and Sofy want to go out, we're going to wait until it's not quite so warm...

Wiggle - Day 732

After the celebrations of the weekend, life has returned to normal for Wiggle.

We're still having nice, warm weather but have been going for our walk early, across to the field where Wiggle and Sofy can run around in the long grass before the sun gets too hot.

After yesterday's evening walk, Wiggle had a bath and for the first time in ages, didn't seem too sulky!

Wiggle's 2nd Gotcha Day!

Today is the second anniversary of Wiggle's homecoming day - a day I'll never forget.

I will alwayds remember meeting Wiggle, with his sad eyes, sore baldy skin but just wanting to be cuddled and loved.....

And now, 2 years on, he's the happiest, waggiest, best boy in the whole world. To me he is, anyway.

After a little sleep in on my bed, we went to the pet shop where I treated Wiggle to a new toy to celebrate his special day. Then it was on to Maude Heath for a walk and play, stopping first for a photo:

Next on the agenda was play time:

Wiggle likes to run ahead, then come back again:

Sofy had been also been going off in her own direction, until I pretending to be going without her!

Sofy wasn't going to confess to having had a cow poo snack.....

My handsome boy:

More playing:

Caught in the act! Wiggle having a quick cow poo snack. Ewww!

After all that running, playing and snacking, it was back home for a rest while I got on with some chores.

Then it was play time again - with new addition: Albert the Armadillo!

Wiggle decided that he didn't want Albert the Armadillo and instead he wanted his new blue bone to chew on:

Sofy liked the look of Albert the Armadillo, maybe becuase he suits her colouring....

Sofy plays whapping games, trying to get Wiggle to play with her:

Wiggle is taking no notice though, chewing happily:

Eventually, Wiggle wanted his turn with Albert:

Sofy watches while Wiggle plays:

I doubt Wiggle know's what today is, but he's definitely enjoyed himself!

Wiggle - Day 729

This afternoon we went up to the Downs for a good run around and play. It's not as warm today but at least it stayed dry!

Sofy's turn with the ball:

An important part of any dogs walk is leaving and replying to 'peemail'. Wiggle's girlfriend, Lucy the Lab left peemail yesterday: http://lucythelabseattle.blogspot.com/

Sofy's face in this photo made me laugh:

More running, this time the sun was out:

As always, taking it in turns with the ball:

Who's going to get the ball?

My handsome, happy Wiggle....
