Wiggle - Day 795

We survived a VERY wet and windy night - rain lashing down on us, followed by strong winds. Wiggle and Sofy picked 6am to wake me so as it was a brief dry spell, they went for their morning wee's and had their breakfast. Our sleeping arrangement ended up with me in between Wiggle and Sofy on the airbed and as it had been comfortable, we all went back to bed for a while!

The rain eased but was replaced with the wind so I made a shelter from one of the folding tables so I could use the gas burner to boil the kettle and make breakfast. Wiggle and Sofy enjoyed extra breakfast of sossijes and egg.

Once breakfast etc was out the way we headed out in the car and saw a sign to Hartland Lighthouse so decided that was a good starting point for our day out.

We walked up to the observation point to see the view - it was a long way up! We walked around the coast path for a while and then after a stop for hot chocolate, got back in the car and drove to Clovelly.( ). After a wander through the village, down the steep cobbles to the quay where Wiggle and Sofy had a paddle in the sea.

This afternoon, we went to visit Margaret, secretary of LRSE&C and very lovely fr
iend as she lives here in North Devon. She took us to a wonderful part of the coast where we walked and the dog could play offlead! It really was lovely especially as the sun came out and we were able to enjoy the beach just before the tide came in.

Needless to say, Wiggle and Sofy are now fast asleep and I think I will be soon too!
