After so many days of heavy rain, we actually managed to have a dry-ish walk this evening. The grass was wet and the ground muddy, but we were just happy not being rained on, so Wiggle made the most of the opportunity to run:
Sofy was having fun too, tail wagging as she ran through the long grass:
A bit soggy, a bit mud-splattered, but a Happy Wiggle:
Sofy, looking cleaner, but only because the mud doesn't show up!

Our weekend can probably be summed up with one picture:
Rain! Lots and lots of rain!
And lots of heavy rain meant that there was no escaping the Horrid Raincoats:
Not a Happy Wiggle:
"I'm drying my paws off, by myself, so please reward me by not making me wear the Horrid Raincoat again"
Although next to his nice, squishy bed, Wiggle decided he would scrunch up one of the towels and sleep on that:
We went for our evening walk while there was some sunshine, so Wiggle and Sofy had a lucky escape from the Horrid Raincoats. But as it doesn't seem to stop raining for long, while we were out, the rain came down again, so snug fleeces were needed for drying off:
Sofy: "I am still traumatised from wearing the Horrid Raincoat earlier...."

What a different two days we've had! Yesterday it was mostly rain showers, which we couldn't avoid when we went on our evening walk. Wiggle and Sofy were very relieved that they didn't have to wear their Horrid Raincoats, so as they'd both got soggy, they wore their fleece's to dry off:
Today, we had a much drier day, even with some sunshine! Wiggle was pleased about the change in the weather so celebrated with some playing in the garden:
And playing flingy games!

Our weekend has mostly consisted of typical April weather - sunshine, then showers. We managed to time our walks well though, and Wiggle and Sofy were able to get out and enjoy some playtime.
Yesterday morning, we went to the field across the road and Wiggle had a sping in his step, running around with his ball:
Wiggle was a Leaping Lab:
Both Wiggle and Sofy took a low, fast approach to race for the ball:
Sofy was quickest though and came boinging back to me, very pleased with herself:
Ballgames stopped for some grazing:
Once the ballgames had started again, Sofy was getting into a tangle with the rope:
This morning we had more sunshine and rain but this afternoon, we were able to enjoy a dry and at times, sunny, walk at the Downs:
Perfect for some BIG running!
Next throw and Wiggle was watching me, while Sofy was watching the ball:
In a rare show of concentration, Sofy was still watching the ball:
"Can't you see, I'm VERY busy watching the ball?!"
Wiggle decided he wanted to run ahead, have some time to himself:
But before long, he came back to me:
My handsome, handsome boy:
Sweet Sofy, struggling to keep control of her ears:
As LucytheLab would say: Running like little racing ponies!
Wiggle demonstrates how he has to position his tongue to one side, in order to carry the ball:
After lots of running and playing, heading back to the car, Sofy checks we're still following her:
Still with his ball, tired but happy, one Wiggle and his ball:

Wiggle and Sofy had some excitement this evening - a big box that had been delivered to me by courier!
They were both very excited to see what was in the box:
How cute is that?! A backpack for Wiggle!
Wiggle had been invited by Pedigree to take part in a 6 week trial of their Joint Care+ product so had been sent his goodie bag, complete with the chew sticks, some balls and a throw stick. There was also a video camera so I can film Wiggle when he's out and about, having fun and follow his progress while he trials the product:

This morning we woke to rain and had a very soggy walk in the field. This evening though, we had sunshine so Wiggle and Sofy made the most of some playtime outside.
Wiggle was watching Sofy with the ring toy, waiting to make his move...
Before Sofy realised what was happening, Wiggle had grabbed the toy!
Wiggle was very happy to have reclaimed his toy, which had been sent by his love, his LucytheLab:
Then some chewing:
