Wiggle - Day 1,694

Wiggle and Sofy are worn out after a busy weekend - sharing pizza with myself and my visiting friend on Friday evening, then showing off their toy whapping and shredding skills, plus of course walks in between.  Today we've had a horrid rainy, windy day so they decided today was going to be Lazy Sunday.

Wearing fleeces to dry off after our morning walk, Wiggle chose the sofa:

Sofy was sleeping in the dog bed:

Waking up to take off their fleeces, Sofy curled herself up into a little ball on the other dog bed:

While Wiggle was still enjoying the sofa:

Today, another item was stolen and taken to one of the dog beds:

Wiggle says he didn't steal the tea towel from the kitchen.  Wiggle was trying to look very innocent, curled up on the sofa:

So if it wasn't Wiggle, it could only have been Sofy.  But she has taken herself up to the spare room bed and is refusing to comment....

Today is Wiggle's Twitter Birthday!

 

Since joining Twitter on 6th February 2009, Wiggle has gained over 2,100 followers and with a little help from me, made nearly 32,000 tweets.

 

We have got to know other dog lovers from around the world, helped to promote rescue Labrador's and LRSE&C.  We've even heard that its through Wiggle's tweets that one or two of our lovely homeless Labrador's are now in their forever homes.

 

Wiggle met and fell in love with the gorgeous choccie LucytheLab and through Twitter, Lucy's mom and I became good friends, with me visiting Lucy and her mom in Seattle last year!

 

Wiggle will celebrate his Twitter Birthday with a nommy little snack.  And then tweet about it!

Yesterday evening Sofy was lounging around on the rug, looking innocent, trying her best not to look like the dog who had taken some mints from my bag....

 

 

Seems like Sofy didn't like the mints once she had taken them to bed, chewed them a little and then left them for me to find:

I think Wiggle needs a check up if that happens. Wiggle looks sad because of his conditions in the said picture.

 

Having written Wiggle's blog for so long, I sometimes forget that not everyone know's his story and would respectfully and politely suggest that new readers look back at the early days and see how far Wiggle has come:

 

Who is Wiggle?

 

 

 Having loved and cared for Wiggle for nearly 5 years, if I thought he needed to see the vet, I would take him. However, Wiggle is a dog with allergies and his health issues are managed with medication, yet from time to time he still feels a bit itchy. It's good for Wiggle to have regular baths and readers who have been with us since the beginning will know that Wiggle started off having a bath a couple of times a week!

Wiggle is a dog with character and he know's how to pull a sad "woe is me" face, knowing that every time he looks at me my heart melts because I love him so much. The sad face is just a part of Wiggle's personality and he know's that he can usually get his way with a woeful expression in my direction.

So, to Anwell Valderama, thank you so much for your concern but Wiggle is absolutely fine and he will continue to receive the love and care he needs. I've deleted your comment as it was linking to a website that I've not had time to check but please do carry on keeping up with Wiggle and his story...

 

Wiggle - Day 1,687

Wiggle has been feeling a little itchy for the past couple of days so day, he had a bath.  Wiggle was not impressed, even when he was drying off, wearing his cosy fleece sweater:

But then, he noticed his bacon flavoured Nylabone close by:

And after some boinging and bouncing, he lay down to chew for a while:
