Wiggle - Day 1,772

After a quiet weekend of rest and on-lead walks for Wiggle, this morning he and Sofy made the most of the sunshine before I had to go to work:

They were looking as happy as me that it was Monday!

Wiggle - Day 1,770

Yesterday evening Wiggle enjoyed his session with the lovely physiotherapy lady and I've now got some massage techniques to do on Wiggle and help his muscles. He was very good and only stole and shredded one toy!  I'll be doing some gentle massages on Wiggle each day and he'll see Amy again after next weekend.

After his relaxing evening, Wiggle was up early this morning so we had our walk while it was still frosty but sunny:

We needed to get dog food and as Jollyes were having a special promotional day to celebrate their 20th birthday, Wiggle came too!  He was happy to browse the aisles:

Wiggle had a good sniff of the various treats on the shelves:

But his favourite aisle was where the snacks are all in big bins, open at the exact same height as his mouth!

Once we were done buying dog food, Wiggle collected his goodie bag!

Wiggle - Day 1,768

Tomorrow evening Wiggle has an appointment to see a physiotherapist, Amy Hunton who has been recommended to us by Malcolm the Vet.  Wiggle is still having lead walks and his daily dose of Metacam but hopefully some physiotherapy will also be benefecial and help reduce the muscle cramps that Wiggle has been having.

Hopefully I'll learn how to do some massage techniques for Wiggle and soon he'll be able to run free again!

Wiggle - Day 1,766

We've had a lovely sunny day here so this evening we went to see the sheeps who lives across the road.

The cute little lambies have arrived and we can hear them when we are in our garden - they're very chatty little lambies!

Wiggle is still having to walk on the lead:

"Not happy.  Want to run in the field!"

Sofy's just happy being Sofy!

Wiggle - Day 1,764

Today Wiggle and Sofy each had a bath.  Wiggle is quite accepting of baths as he still has for his skin condition and once he was done, he was boinging around in the sunshine:

Soon his attention was turned to shredding:

Sofy was less happy about her bath and wouldn't even be tempted to the bathroom with a treat.  Eventually I persuaded her and as soon as her bath was over, she was bum-tucking around the garden:

Boinging - probably happy to have survived the torture that is a bath:

Being silly and bouncy together:

Soon both Wiggle and Sofy lay down together, drying off in the sunshine:

Wiggle - Day 1,763

At last, a sunny day!  And while I've been doing some work in the garden, Wiggle and Sofy enjoyed some quiet time, sunbathing:

Wiggle - Day 1,760

Wiggle is having his on-lead walks and no playtime, but he's happy enough and was enjoying some time outdoors earlier, tail all blurry with wagging:

Wiggle - Day 1,758

This morning Wiggle went to the veterinary hospital to spend the day there and get his xrays done.  As usual, he was happy to go to the vets and Sofy stayed at home, not worried about being left on her own.

A couple of times I checked the webcam and did see her awake:

 But later, she was sleeping:

Malcolm the vet tweeted a photo of Wiggle, after his xrays and with one of the lovely nurses giving him some lunch.  Wiggle looked very happy with this!

 Sofy was still sleeping soundly:

This evening, after being collected - Wiggle looking very smart in red:

The xrays showed that Wiggle's joints are actually ok and there isn't any signs of problems with arthritis, so the assumption now is that it's musclular.  Wiggle is to have 2 weeks of lead walks and no running, while still having his Metacam every day.  We'll go back and see Malcolm in a couple of weeks and see what's next for Wiggle.

Wiggle - Day 1,757

As tomorrow's trip to the vet for Wiggle will mean a quieter day, this afternoon we went up to the Downs so Wiggle and Sofy could have some play time.

Sofy was looking half asleep as she waited for me to throw the ball:

But she soon woke up and stretched her legs:

Chasing the ball together:

Boincy and boingy:

Wiggle went off on his own:

Running like little racing ponies!

Wiggle got the ball and went on ahead:

This will appeal to Lucy - pee'ing on mole-hills!

Wiggle - Day 1,755

This morning we had a soggy walk so Wiggle and Sofy wore their fleeces once we got home to dry off.

Wiggle was looking snuggly in his fleece:

Earlier in the week, Wiggle went to the vet for a check-up as he has been a bit stiff on his back legs and he has Metacam to help his joints.  On Monday, Wiggle will go in to the veterinary hospital for x-rays so we can see what condition his hips are in.

Wiggle - Day 1,752

We introduce to you - Wiggle and Lucy Lambs!

These cute little sheeps live with our friend Sarah in Derbyshire and were born 11 days ago.  Theyre a rare breed and have little horns!  Sarah said the Wiggle lambie is 'gobby' and the Lucy lambie is 'bossy'!

Here's Wiggle's namesake:

Wiggle - Day 1,750

We've had a brighter, slightly warmer weekend so this afternoon we enjoyed a walk along the old railway track.  Wiggle was waiting for me to give him his tennis ball:

And once he had his ball, he was off!

Sofy stayed on lead, so she couldn't go in search of dead, manky things:

Further along, Wiggle stopped to watch the sheeps:

Sheepy family:

Cute!

While we stopped to watch the sheep and lambies, we noticed one little lambie was in a hurry:

This little lambie was on a mission!

Still running:

Getting closer...

To mum!

Wiggle with his ball, while Sofy was still watching the sheeps:

Sofy, looking strangely serious:

Wiggle took his ball as we'd reached the turn-around point, so he headed back the way we'd come:

Wiggle leads the way:

Nearly back at the bridge:

Still in front...

Over the bridge and Wiggle's halt is in sight:

Wiggle let Sofy join him on 'his' halt:
